    Training and Placement Cell and Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar jointly organized Industry Interaction programme in form of Online Pharma Talk Show "VICHARSHALA-2".

          Mr. Partap Singh Malik, Director Placement and Prof. Neeru Vasudeva, Chairperson, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences welcomed the guest speaker, Sarika Jain, who is currently working as Director (GPD quality) at Pfizer Inc. The talk show was moderated by Dr. Rekha Rao, Coordinator and Dr. Vikramjeet Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences presented Vote of thanks.

          The theme of talk show was "Opportunities in Clinical Research in Pharma Industry". The speaker  Sarika Jain discussed her professional journey including her experiences in various pharma companies such as Panacea Biotech, Ranbaxy Laboratories, Vestergaard Asia Pvt. Ltd, Medanta Duke Research Institute, IQVIA, Navitas Lifesciences, Pfizer Inc. She acquainted the students regarding various opportunities in Clinical Research in pharma industry for pharmacy graduates & postgraduates in the CRO, GCP, ICH, CDM, WHO, Clinical Trials (Phase 1,2,3,4) etc. Further, she explained how a fresher can get into this exciting field and told about the importance of higher education for getting into clinical research and how to select the best job in the various fields of clinical research. In her conversation, she also focused on importance of additional shortterm courses eg., biostatistics and certificate programmes, that can be done for added qualifications and getting entry into this field. Additionally, she stressed that students should work on effective communication skills and their strengths for successful career. She also suggested internship opportunities for M.Pharm. students of the University.

          The talk show conducted very smoothly due to the efforts of student's team of Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences Varsha, Pooja, Sidharth, Shubhra, Sumit, Suraj, Shashi, Manisha, Shayna, Deepanshu.

          Around 85 students attended this pharma talk show. Besides students & faculty of the department, some students from other universities and colleges were also present in the show and they praised this innovative concept of talk show for career guidance.
