Completion of One Year of GWOAT Series (Golden Jubilee Celebration)

Training & Placement Cell of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar celebrated the golden jubilee i.e completion of one year of GWOAT which is an aptitude test conducted on a weekly basis. The chief guest of the programme was Prof. Avnesh Verma, Registrar of the University and special guest cum speaker of the day was Mr. Pankaj Chaudhary, Director of Time Institute, Hisar. Mr. Pratap Malik, Director Placement and Dr. Aditya Vir Singh, Assistant Director T&P Cell were also present to appreciate the top performers and the student team members of the GWOAT.
Prof. Avnish Verma was also very happy by the performance of the T&P Cell and stated that the T&P Cell is doing a wonderful and marvellous job. He also appreciated them for the other programmes also which are conducted by T&P Cell like speakathons, group discussions, GATE training, Inhouse summer training etc. He also congratulated them for their efforts to not only make students capable of getting jobs but also in bringing various companies for placement drives. He also said that T&P Cell are giving their 200 per cent in every aspect and not only looking at the placement of students but also the overall development of the students.
Mr. Pankaj Chaudhary was surprised that this programme came a long way. He also praised the effort of the T&P Cell which is helping the students in increasing their soft skills. He also said that companies look for candidates who have the ability to learn and that’s why they take aptitude tests for the same. He emphasized that the aptitude skills are critical for selection in all types of Government or Private jobs or for getting admission in higher education through GMAT, GRE or CAT. The first phase of all the job interviews is aptitude test only, so if one lacks in aptitude skills then he/she may not be able to showcase your technical skills also. That is why aptitude is so important for us. He also gave a detailed explanation on the content of aptitude which consists of English, Maths, GK and Reasoning. At last, he asked the students to get out of their comfort zone and start preparing for Aptitude.
Mr. Pratap Malik, Director Placement welcomed Prof. Avnesh Verma, Registrar, Mr Pankaj Chaudhary and all the students present in the online zoom meeting to make this a successful event. He talked about the idea of helping the students to improve their aptitude skills. He also appreciated the hard work of the GWOAT team led by Pratibha Sangwan. He was also very happy with the completion of one year and stated that starting any project or programme is easy but it is very difficult to continue the programme for such a long duration. He also announced the new and updated second version of the aptitude test series named GWOAT 2.0. This test has benefited a lot of students to improve their aptitude skills which thereby help them to sit in placement drives and government jobs. He also asked the students to take a pledge not only to participate but also to motivate others to participate in the test.
Dr. Aditya Vir Singh, Assistant Director T&P Cell presented the certificates to the top performers from GWOAT 26 to GWOAT 53 who were Ashok, Sunil Kumar & David followed by the certificates of the Department GWOAT Coordinators (DGC) who were Gurvinder Kaur, Manisha, Milan Purwa, Munish, Preeti, Sugandha, Sunil Kumar, Vamshi, Vipin. At last certificates were given to the core team members of the GWOAT Programme who are Pratibha, Lalita, Sajan, Akash & Ashish. In the end Lalita Kanwar, Coordinator of GWOAT Programme presented the vote of thanks.
