Industry Interaction Programme on "Trending Job opportunities

in IT Industry and how to prepare for them"

          The Training and Placement Cell of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar in collaboration with the CSE Department organized an Industry Interaction Programme on the topic "Trending Job opportunities in IT Industry and how to prepare for them" for students of CSE department.  Partap Singh, Director Placement told that Mr. Rahul Maheswari having worked in Google, having founded Linuxsocials company and currently working in Adobe was the keynote speaker of the webinar. Prof. Dharmender Kumar, Chairperson of CSE department was the chief guest of the function. Dr. Aditya Vir Singh, Assistant Director of T&P Cell presided over the function.

          In his address, Prof. Dharmender Kumar underlined the importance of remaining updated about industry requirements. He also appealed to students to do various certification programmes related to trending technologies prevailing in industry, which can give a good start of career. He also said that students should start preparing themselves for corporate life while in studies itself. 

          The keynote speaker Mr. Rahul Maheshwari gave various tips of structured placement preparation to the students for top IT companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, TCS etc. He explained job profiles and required skills for various job roles of IT industry such as Software Development Engineer (SDE) or Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer or Cloud Architect, Machine Learning Architect or Machine Learning Engineer, Data Analyst or Data Scientist, Dev Ops Engineer or Dev Ops Architect or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), Solutions Engineer or Automation Engineer, Full Stack Web Developer, Frontend Developer & Backend Developer. He suggested the students to remain consistent and dedicated while preparing for placements. He further told students to have good knowledge of topics like Operating System Concepts, Networking concepts, Cloud Platforms, open source tools, Python, Data Structure and Algorithms etc for better placement perspectives in top IT companies.

          The vote of thanks was expressed by Overall Placement Coordinator Tushar Narwal. The Industry Interaction Programme Club Coordinator Vishal and all team members coordinated the function very well. Jasmin anchored the event. All the participants of the webinar have been given E-certificates.
