Entrepreneurship Club present TALASH: Idea Pitching Competition From Idea To Reality Think. Create. Scale ( Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Assistant Professor) Guest Speaker
Talaash (Idea Pinching Competition) was organized by the Entrepreneurship Club of the Training and Placement Cell of GJUS&T in which students from various departments of the university participated. Chief Guest Cum Judge of this competition was Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE.
The program was presided over by the Director Placements Sh. Pratap Singh Malik, in his welcome address he motivated the participants and said that Entrepreneurship is important because it is capable of improving living standards and creating capital. Entrepreneurs Contribute to the National Profit Improved goods, services, or technology from businesses enable the growth of new markets and the creation of new wealth. Also, increased jobs and higher incomes, in the form of higher tax revenue and expense, lead to better national income.
In this competition the participants shared their ideas for starting a new startup like Fake news detection and Social media awareness, DNA: Don't get addicted App for monitoring and controlled use of smartphones and social media, freelancing platform with exclusive categories for professionals and students, eco brick an eco-friendly way of making homes and products, Dropshipping stores to sell seasonal goods, kids fashion stores and Introduced new delivery service using autos and e-rickshaw drivers to distribute parcels, etc.
Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Assistant Professor, ECE Department judged the students on the basis of their creative thinking, problem finder, presentation, Ideas & solutions. Sourav from the Civil department was first with the idea of EcoBrick: Eco-friendly way of making houses and products, DNA: Don't be addicted the idea with App for Monitoring and Controlled Use of Smart Phones and Social Media presented by Jyoti from CSE department secured second position and Pramod Saini from the Electrical department, stood third, who presented his idea on New Delivery Services: Parcel Delivery App using Auto and E-Rickshaw Drivers.
At the end of the competition, a Vote of thanks was proposed by the Gopal Tripathi of the Mechanical Department who is also the student coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Club of T&P Cell, and Anchoring of the program was done by Arzoo Dhaka of Economic Hons.
