Projectathon Competition organized by Coding Club of T&P Cell, GJUS&T, Hisar
The coding club "GJUST-CODERS" under mentorship of Training & Placement Cell of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology organized an Online Projectathon Competition. The event was presided over by Dr. Aditya Vir Singh, Assistant Director, Training and Placement Cell and Mr. Sunil Verma, Assistant Professor of Computer Science Department was the judge of the event. A total of 8 teams comprising of 36 students participated in the competition, worked for their respective projects for 15 Days and finally presented their projects based on Web Development, Android Development and Machine Learning. Nearly 70 students of various departments attended the event. Dr. Aditya Vir Singh welcomed all the students and judge to the event and also told about the importance of this projectathon competition. He shared that this program has been initiated by T&P Cell so that more and more students are inclined towards developing real time projects and converting these projects into startups also. The projects were judged on the basis of innovation, originality and team work by the event judge Mr. Sunil Verma.
Dr. Aditya Vir Sing told that projects prepared by students included Expenses tracker, Resume builder, Face recognition based attendance system, StockRam (Website for teaching basics of Stock Market), WeShare (A social media website similar to Facebook), RedPlus (Android app for health care services), Music Player (Android app for streaming music online) and an Online Voting system. He further shared that participants were from all years of B. Tech. Course. He told that Team-8 having developed the project namely "WeShare" (A social media website similar to Facebook) comprising of students Vaibhav Sehgal, Ajay, Aman Verma, Roshni Dubey & Dhruv bagged First Position. Team-3 having developed the "Resume Builder" project comprising of Bharat Sharma, Harish, Mohit, Ajit Kumar Sah & Deepanshu yadav bagged second Position. Team-21 having developed the Project Music Player Ankit Sirswa, Gautam Jain, Sonam, Aman Kumar & Arju got third position.
After all the presentations, Mr. Sunil Verma gave suggestions to improve the projects like adding some more features to these projects. He also encouraged students to keep on participating in such competitions.
Program Coordinators Jyoti, Diksha and Sangeet Sharma along with other volunteers Heena Jain, Jyoti, Aakash and Akshat coordinated the online event effectively. Jyoti anchored the event.
