Industrial Interaction Programme (IIP) Club, Training &
Placement Cell in collaboration with Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Guru
Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar organized an
Industrial Interaction Programme on the topic "Research Analytics : Job
opportunities in present scenario". Arun Dhankar, Consultant of
Pharmaceutical Industry, Canada was the guest speaker of the session. He has
done his graduation from MDU, Rohtak and Post Graduation from Pt. BD Sharma
University, Rohtak. The event was moderated by Dr. Rekha Rao, Training
Placement Coordinator and Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical
Sciences. Ms. Nikita from M. Pharma.
(Pharmaceutics) hosted the event and welcomed the guest speaker.
Arun
Dhankar commenced his presentation in which he projected his life journey, his
personal and professional attributes. He gave structured information about the
Research and Development (R&D) Department, Research and Analysis (R&A)
Department, Clinical trials, Drug approval, Drug distribution, and
Pharmacovigilance. He also shared the names of some companies like Clintec and
PPD for clinical trials, Kinapse for Drug approval, APCER Life Sciences for
Pharmacovigilance, QVIA, Genpact, Novartis, WNS, TATA consultancy services for
R&A.
Arun
Dhankar then shed a light upon the working of a Data Analyst in R&A
department which is based on "Knowledge Process Outsourcing" and for better understanding, he
shared the case study of Pfizer company Pipeline for new drugs.
Before
concluding the session, the queries of each and every student was addressed by
Mr. Arun Dhankar and he advised students to create a Linkedin profile and
should use keywords in their CVs according to the job requirements.

Singh, Director, Training & Placement Cell told that it was indeed a very
interactive and knowledgeable session with the participation of around 35
students. The session was concluded by
Dr. Rekha Rao and a vote of thanks was given by Nikita to Arun Dhankar for
