"Role of Construction chemicals in modern construction “for Civil engineering Students.

         

Industry Interaction Club of Training & Placement Cell of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar (GJUST) organized an Industrial Interaction Programme on the topic "'Role of Construction chemicals in modern construction". Mr Suresh Punia, state technical head of JK Cements was the Keynote speaker of the Programme. Assistant Director Training & Placements Dr. Aditya Vir Singh Presented the Welcome address. 150 students were present in the Program. Vice Chancellor Prof. B. R. Kamboj & Registrar Prof Avneesh Verma congratulated the efforts of  Industry interaction Club for conducting such programs. 

            Keynote Speaker Mr. Suresh Punia shared his professional experience of more than 15 years with the students. He underlined how civil engineers can strengthen the infrastructure of our country by using modern technology. He talked about the types of admixtures and cement used in modern construction. He also said that there are more than 14 types of cements present in construction for the different usages such as Grey cement, white cement, rapid hardening cement and many more. He also explained the working model, Work ethics and job opportunities in JK Cement. The talk was followed by the question-and-answer session in which Entrepreneurship Club member students asked a number of questions.

Pratap Singh Malik, Director, Training and Placement Cell said that such types of industry interactions programs are regularly conducted for various departments for enhancing the industry exposure of students. He appealed to all the students to take maximum benefit from such interactions.

Mr.Sandeep Chhokar, Training Placement Coordinator of Civil Engineering Department delivered vote of thanks. Mr Vikas Sharma. TEchnical manager of the JK Cement was also present in the event. The student coordinators Vishal, Gaurav, Nihit and Aniket coordinated the event very well. Nihit hosted the event.
