One Week Mega Mock Campus Placement Drive concluded at GJUST

One Week long Mega Mock Campus Placement Drive namely ABHYAS organized by Training & Placement Cell of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology Hisar has concluded. 800 students have participated in this event. Prof. Baldev Raj Kamboj, Vice-Chancellor of the University congratulated the Training & Placement Cell for organizing this event and students for their enthusiastic participation. Prof. Avnesh Verma, Registrar of the University also congratulated the efforts of Training & Placement Cell for organizing this event.
Partap Singh, Director Placement shared that after having been inaugurated by Prof. Baldev Raj Kamboj, Vice-Chancellor various events have been conducted under ABHYAS programme. Group Discussions were conducted by teachers in respective departments in groups of 10 students. Each group was given a different topic from the list of current affair topics. Online Aptitude test consisting of 150 questions was also conducted, which included questions of Quantitative Aptitude, English, Verbal Reasoning & General Awareness. It was followed by a Technical Interview round, which was held in respective departments, where teachers of multiple specializations asked technical domain specific questions including project or training work done by the student. In the end, there was an HR interview round, in which alumni of university offered their services and took the HR interview of students in 25 panels held in the crush hall of the auditorium.
Partap Singh, Director Placement said that overall programme was very much appreciated by the students. Many students shared that this was their first interview they faced till now and now they are feeling confident for facing further interviews ior recruitment processes. He expressed thanks to all chairpersons for their cooperation for making this programme successful.
Dr Aditya Vir Singh, Assistant Director said that the entire programme was coordinated by 90 volunteer students of pre-final year by working in different teams such as Hospitality Team, Data Compilation Team, Medis Team etc. in leadership of OPCs Lalita Kanwar of B.Tech. EE, Daksh Trikha of B.Tech. ECE and Simran Saini of MBA 2nd Year. He also shared that top three students of each department will be awarded appreciation certificates and overall five students will be given prizes. Approx 100 teachers of various departments worked as interviewers or evaluators.
