Inauguration cum Pre-Placement Talk of ABHYAS : One Week Mega Campus Drive

 The Training & Placement Cell of Guru Jambheshwar University has organized  a One Week long Mega Mock Campus Placement Drive namely ABHYAS for all of its final year students. Vice Chancellor Prof. Baldev Raj Kamboj inaugurated this program in an inauguration cum pre-placement talk function held in the main hall of Ch. Ranbir Singh Auditorium. Dean Academic Affairs Prof Devinder Kumar was guest of honour of the program. Director (Placement) Partap Singh presided over the function. Approx 700 students were present in the program along with chairpersons and other faculty members.

Addressing students as Chief Guest, Vice Chancellor Prof. Baldev Raj Kamboj appealed to all students to participate with full dedication in this program, which will surely enhance the confidence level of students for their better chances of placement. He suggested students to work on their grey areas identified in this one week process. Guest of Honour Prof. Devinder Kumar underlined the need of placement opportunities for academic courses.

In his Welcome Speech, Director(Placement) Partap Singh said that this program has been designed to give real time exposure to all final year students about the complete placement process for their better preparedness for placements for the coming time. He further shared that this one week process included Online Aptitude test on 12th Sep, Group Discussions on 13th Sep in respective departments, Technical Interviews on 14t & 15th Sep by respective department teachers and HR interviews on 16th & 17th Sep by GJUS&T alumni currently working in corporate.

Keynote speaker Mr. Pankaj Chaudhary briefed the students about dos and donts of all phases of a recruitment process including APtitude Test, Group Discussion, technical & Personal interviews. He said that well preparedness on all these fronts of the recruitment process will prove beneficial for the students.

One this occasion, students Ravi & Deepnashu who were part of team having won third prize in a two days National Level “Ideamanthan 2022” organized in Chandigarh Engineering College were also felicitated by Vice Chancellor. Vice Chancellor also felicitated the members of Mountain and Adventure Club who have hoisted National Flag on Unam Peak located in Lahaul Spiti Valley led by Prof. Sanjeev & Rajesh Punia.

Program started with Kulgeet and ended with the National Anthem. Simran anchored the event. Volunteers for Pre-Final year classes led by Coordinators Lalita and Daksh coordinated the event perfectly.
