 Webinar on "Career Opportunities in industries for Chemistry Students"  held by Industry Interaction Club of Training and Placement Cell, GJUS&T


Industry Interaction Club of Training and Placement Cell, GJUS&T in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry conducted a Webinar on "Career Opportunities in industries for Chemistry Students" on 29th September 2022.  Mr. Harinder Singh, Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) at Sarvbio Labs Pvt. Ltd., Haryana was the Keynote Speaker. He is an Alumni of Guru Jambheshwar University with 15+ years of experience in industry. Director(Placement) Partap Singh presided over the function. Dr. Aditya Vir Singh, Assistant Director of T&P Cell gave a welcome speech. He said that Industry Interaction Club has been giving an excellent platform for interactions of students with industry experts.  More than 60 Students from the Chemistry Department attended the webinar.  

Dr. Mahavir Prasad, Assistant Professor in Chemistry Department and Training & Placement Coordinator appealed to the students for taking maximum benefit from such programs and expert lectures by industry experts.

KeyNote Speaker Mr. Harinder Singh shared that all students can pursue their career in industries by applying their knowledge about chemicals in an efficient way. He further discussed various possible roles for Chemistry students in industry such as Formulation Chemist, processing industries, Environment Health & Safety Department, Quality Assurance and Quality Control, Industrial Management & Technical Sales and Marketing. While answering the queries of students, Mr. Harinder Singh underlined that students should focus more on the Instrumentation Part and try to get all Practical Knowledge for better career prospects.

Uttam Sharma, Department IIP Club Coordinator presented Vote of Thanks. Monika Sihag (Coordinator, IIP Club) anchored the event and coordinated the Webinar effectively along with her Team.
