Coding Programme on topic "Reskill X Meta Spark AR Developer Training Programme" by Coding Club

          The Coding Club GJUST Coders of Training and Placement Cell, Guru Jambeshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar organized a workshop on the topic "Building Spark AR Effects" in association with Reskill X Meta for all the students of the University. The workshop was organized separately for students of 1st, 2nd year and 3rd, 4th year respectively. Approximately 410 students attended the workshop and learnt how to build AR effects on Spark AR Studio and features that enhance the experience of Facebook and Instagram users. Sarthak Jain, Head of Community and Lakshit Pant, Spark AR Creator as mentors from Reskill were the keynote speakers. Prof. Baldev Raj Kamboj, Vice-Chancellor congratulated the Coding club for holding this workshop for technical upskilling of the students.  Prof. Avnesh Verma, Registrar appealed to all students to make full use of all such programmes.

          Sarthak Jain and Lakshit Pant shared the employment statistics of Spark AR Development. They discussed how this field is going to rule over in the coming years with no or minimum layoffs. They explained to students that the role of Spark AR developer is as good as SDE in reputed companies and how this can be the path of freelancing for them. Mentors explained how to create AR effects of the desired choice from scratch step-by-step including importing assets, canvas, face tracking, path editor, generating test link and then publishing them online using Spark AR software. Students developed different creative AR effects following respective instructions given by mentors. Mentors cleared the queries of students about the Spark AR software.

          Partap Singh Malik, Director of the Training and Placement Cell shared that Reskill is the officiating partner with Meta on SparkAR Learn and this workshop was specially designed in collaboration with Reskill so that students may learn about the effects of Augmented Reality.

          Volunteers from Coding Club helped the students to create an effect also. Sonam and Simran from B.Tech. CSE anchored the workshop. Club coordinator Jyoti and joint club coordinator Vaibhav along with the club members Nishant, Akshat, Diya, Aman, Ankit,  Ashish,  Mohit, Pari, Gautam, Yash, Dhruv, Bharat, Hitesh, Himanshu, Vivek, Akash, Simran and Sonam coordinated the event well.
