Competative Exam Programme on topic "Overview of GATE & UG EXAMS" by Competative Exam Club



The COMPETITIVE EXAM CLUB of Training and Placement cell , GJUS&T, Hisar organized a seminar to share information about CAREER OPPURTUNITIES through  COMPETTIVE EXAMS . 28 students were present in the seminar which included students from ME , ECE , EE  and there were few students from IT , CSE , PRINTING and Physics departments. Most of the students were from 1st year . Khushi , Joint Coordinator of COMPETITIVE EXAM CLUB from B-Tech IT (2nd year) started the event with a warm welcome to audience . She invited Pratap Singh Malik , Director of Training and Placement Cell . Pratap Sir shared his experience . He shared his veiws about selection of students in govt jobs in  Punjab University . And also how to help juniors with their numberable issues . Then he handovered the seminar to Jatin , Coordinator of COMPETITIVE EXAM CLUB .

Jatin started the seminar with a warm welcome to audience . Firstly he explained all the exams that are UPSC , GATE , IIT-JAM , CAT and  other Defence Exams in breif . He started with UPSC in which he explained about the exam, eligibility criteria , number of attempts, pattern of exam, optional subjects, personality test, etc.

Starting with GATE and the use of GATE score which is in PSU’s, for recruitment, for admissions in PG courses. Continuing with 2023 GATE exam he briefed us about the dates and eligibilty, pattern of the exam, marking scheme, corresponding codes of GATE. He also explained about the scholarship which we can get through GATE . Continuing with he explained about  IIT-JAM in which he explained about the exam, tentative timeline, application fees, 2023 exam/ admissions, admission procedure . Then starting with CAT he explained about the dates, details, eligibility criteria, application process, exam pattern/question paper . He also briefed the audience about defence exam such as NDA, AFCAT and CDS related exam information , eligibility , scorecard uses .

Jatin cleared all the doubts and myths related to exams. All the students were very interactive with the speakers during the session. All kept patience throughout the session. Lalita Rathore , OPC of T&P cell presented the vote of thanks. Seminar was anchored by Jatin and Khushi and managed by other team member , Shushila ( B.Tech-ECE -2nd year).
