30+ students from the Dept. Of Bio and Nanotechnology attended the webinar during this session.
The event started at 11:00 a.m.
Nitya Arora (Dept.IIC head) did the event's anchoring (Msc biotechnology). Our speaker was warmly greeted by Dr. Neeraj Dilbaghi sir,chairperson of our Dept.He introduced our keynote speaker, Dr. Nagendra Kumar Kaushik, a professor in dept. Of electrical and biological physics,Plasma bioscience research Center ,Kwangwoon University, South Korea,with over 12 years of expertise in his field. He was also mentioned in the world top 2% scientists list in 2022 prepared by Stanford University and elsevier. After this, Dr. Pratap Singh sir (director of training and placement cell) also extended his warm welcome through his speech.
Then Dr. Kaushik began with his presentation on plasma medicine and it's applications in various fields, along with his own research done and the products developed during Covid times. Students were able to connect with the presentation as it was directly related to the subjects that are taught in the curriculum like nanotechnology and immunology. This webinar has incorporated a seed of curiosity in the future researchers i.e. students of Biotechnology.
After the presentation, Dr. K D rawat sir extended his warm vote of thanks to the speaker and Sneha (student of Msc biotechnology second year) took the pictures of the event throughout.
The IIP club's core team members, including Nitya Arora (the department's IIC coordinator), Ashok Jangra (joint coordinator IIC) , and Monika Sihag (coordinator IIC), put a lot of work into planning and executing this webinar.
