SSB Experience sharing by recommended candiades (Capt. Dr. Sunaina Singh) organized by SSB Club

SSB Club under the mentorship of Training & Placement Cell, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar organized a webinar on ‘SSB Preparation’. Around 51 students from the University attended the webinar. Captain Dr. Sunaina Singh, Ex-Army Officer was the keynote speaker of the event. She is a motivational speaker, life coach and national handball player as well as she has served a glorious service period in the Indian Army.
Prof. Baldev Raj Kamboj, Vice-Chancellor of the University said that SSB preparation plays a crucial role in the country moreover it has a wide range of job opportunities for the students. Prof. Avnesh Verma, Registrar of the University also congratulated the students for participating in the webinar.
Captain Dr. Sunaina Singh gave the students an overview of the five-day SSB process and told them that SSB is a personality test, not a knowledge test. It checks your general awareness. She explained to students that psychology tests check the mind (Mansa), Personal interview tests communication skills (Vachna), general awareness and GTO checks actions (Karma). She asked the students to focus on the basics rather than overloading the information and getting confused. She advised students to read newspapers, listen to the news, play sports and take part in extra co-curricular activities and develop a personality. She told students to write about daily incidents that happened, organize various events and practice on communication skills and general awareness. She urged students to write real-life incidents in stories and make stories practical rather than using preconceived ideas. She told students to do self-introspection daily which will help them to become self-aware. She told students that no one is perfectly fine and everyone has some weaknesses so try to improve them and build strengths during your college time. At last, she told students to stay happy, keep smiling and focus on positive aspects.
Pratap Malik, Director Placement also extended his warm welcome through his speech and introduced Captain Dr. Sunaina Singh. He told the students about the motive of the SSB club and its activities. He said a lot of students join the armed forces from the Haryana region and we feel immensely proud when some students from the University join the armed forces.
At last Lalit Kumar, Club Coordinator presented a vote of thanks. The event was anchored by Lalit Kumar and managed by team members Rashmi, Tarun, Deepak, Kapil, Rahul, Hritik, Mahak, Anu, Sanjana, Shruti, Riya, Rahul and Pooja helped in making the event successful.
