Industrial Interaction Program on topic "Multiple Carrier Opportunities in It Industry " by Industry Interaction Club & Deptt. of CSE Department

          The Industry Interaction Club under the Training and Placement Cell, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar organized a webinar on the topic "Multiple Career Opportunities in the IT industry" in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. More than 70 students from the CSE department attended this webinar. The keynote speaker was Praveen Singampalli, who has more than seven years of industry experience.  He is currently working as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Walmart. He has also guided thousands of students through YouTube also.

          Prof. Baldev Raj Kamboj, Vice-Chancellor of the University congratulated the organizing team of the event and said that such programmes help students to gain modern world knowledge and skills which would eventually help them in their careers. He asked students to keep learning new things every day to survive in the corporate world. Prof. Avnesh Verma, Registrar also congratulated the students for participating in such events.

          Praveen Singampalli discussed various fields to explore in the IT industry like DevOps, Salesforce, Testing, AI/ML, Data Analytics, etc. He explained that there is scope in many fields but we have to keep exploring and if we work in a field that we actually like we would surely excel in that. He told students to prepare for placements from the start of their college and that they should do some certification courses which would make them authentic. He advised students to improve their communication skills. He told students to explore modern techniques like exploring career pages of companies to find jobs easily in the corporate world. He explained that LinkedIn is a very good source for making connections with professional people and also making some online identity so that recruiters could easily find them. He said that we have to adapt to this modern and competitive world and keep learning new technologies and techniques which will eventually help in making a career. Students asked their doubts and queries.

          The speaker was warmly welcomed by Mr. Pratap Singh Malik, Director of the Placement Cell. He extended his gratitude towards the guest and said these events help students to get knowledge related to industry and to connect with people and learn from them to upskill themselves. 

          Yogender presented a vote of thanks to the Guest Speaker, attendees and Industry Interaction team coordinators. The whole webinar was anchored by Yogender, a core member of the Industry Interaction Team. Prashant, Department Coordinator, Nikhil, Joint-Department Coordinator and Muskan, Industry Interaction Team Core member successfully coordinated the event.
