Seminar on Expectations of Employers conducted by Udbhavana Club

          The Udbhavana Club under Training and Placement Cell, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar organized a seminar on “what employers look for and how to prepare for that?" in the seminar hall of Training & Placement Cell.  Dr. Sanjeev Vashisht, Motivational Speaker, Performance Coach and Guest Speakers in many premier institutions like IITs, AIIMS etc. was keynote speaker of the seminar.  Partap Singh, Director Placement presided over the function.

          Prof. Baldev Raj Kamboj, Vice-Chancellor of the University congratulated the Cell for organizing such career counselling sessions for students. He motivated students to prepare themselves as per the expectations of employers. He said that there is no end to employment opportunities for skilled students. Prof. Avnesh Verma, Registrar of the University also appreciated the efforts of Udbhavana Club for continuous conducting grooming workshops.

          While addressing to students, keynote speaker Dr. Sanjeev Vashisth discussed how to prepare for a job by giving various examples. He underlined that getting a high salary is not a difficult task but preparing oneself is a really tough task. He highlighted the conscious and subconscious mind and discussed how to handle it. He stated that a company interview is a process, where the interviewer first shatters you, then cracks you and finally squeezes you. He apprised that students should prepare a simple resume, with no heavy words and should not copy and paste someone else’s contents. He also emphasised the importance of mentioning real strength and capabilities in a resume. He mentioned that one must read about organization/company including its domain, structure, development, etc. before appearing for an interview. The seminar ended with question and answer session.

          Approx. 80 students attended the event. Swati Dalal, Programme, Coordinator presented a vote of thanks. The event started with University Kulgeet and ended with the National Anthem. The event was anchored by Parul Soni, Joint Coordinator, Arzoo Dhaka, Club Coordinator of Udbhavana Club and along with Abhishek, Nikita, Aman, Kashish, team volunteers.
