Four days Soft Skill Training Programme conducted for Pre-Final Year students

            The Udbhavana Club of Training and Placement Cell of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar organised a four days Campus Recruitment Training (CRT)-cum-Soft Skills Development Workshop in collaboration with Rubicon Skill Development Private Limited for 2024 passing out students as CSR initiative of Barclay. The programme ended with a valedictory function organized in the main hall of Ch. Ranbir Singh auditorium of the University graced with the benign presence of Prof. Baldev Raj Kamboj, Vice-Chancellor as chief guest.  Prof. Avnesh Verma was present as guest of honour and Prof. Devinder Kumar, Dean Academic Affairs as special guest of event. Pratap Singh, Director (Placement) presided over the function.

            In his address as chief guest, Prof. Baldev Raj Kamboj shared that the time invested by the students for this soft skill training programme is going to be very beneficial for them in near future.  He also underlined the importance of effective communication skills in life. He said that this training would empower them with the required skills such as Group Discussion skills, Personal Interview skills, Presentation skills, clarity about effective resume etc.

            Addressing to students as guest of honour, Prof. Avnesh Verma, Registrar congratulated the Training & Placement Cell for conducting this skilling programme for students and suggested students to keep on working on things learnt by them.

            Prof. Devinder Kumar, Dean Academic Affairs also appealed to all students to work on their weaknesses.

            While addressing to students, Partap Singh, Director Placement shared that the main topics, which were covered in this training by trainers were Organizational Structure, Public Speaking, Presentation Skills, E-mail Etiquette, Grooming, Group Discussion, Personal Interview, Assessment based on Personal Interview & Group Discussion. He briefed that Sameer Sharma, Resham Singh, Poonam Mankotia, Akshay Kumar, Dinky Mehta, Akanksha Tyagi, Mohit Chandra Maurya, Rajeev Kumar, Nithika, Ravinder Singh, Nikhil Sharma, Shikhar Prajapati and Himansu from Rubicon Skill Development Private Limited were the expert and professional trainers from multiple corners of the country from Rubicon Skill Development Private Limited, who imparted the soft skill training through intensive interaction, fun games, involvement activities, etc. He also expressed thanks to Pooja Sonje, Toshika and all trainers from Rubicon Skill Development Private Limited alongwith all chairpersons and department Placement Coordinator teachers for motivating the students to participate in this mandatory training programme.

            While sharing their experiences, students shared that they were quite hesitant in speaking in front of other students in the beginning, but after completion of training, their confidence as well as power of communication has increased many folds. All the trainers also shared their experiences and appealed to students to keep on working on skills acquired in this workshop. Prof. Vinod Kumar Bishnoi, Dr. Santosh and Dr. Krishan Dutt were also present in the function. All trainers were felicitated by University authority 845 pre-final year students of all courses attended this training programme conducted in 13 batches in premises of Haryana School of Business and multiple seminar halls in university. All volunteers were also given certificates.

            Dr Aditya Vir Singh, Assistant Director presented vote of thanks. Overall Programme coordinators Aman Verma, Priya & Nikita alongwith a big team of approx. 90 volunteers including batch coordinators and other coordinators coordinated the program effectively. Priya and Tejasvi anchored the valedictory function. The programme started with Kulgeet and ended with the National Anthem.
