Competitive Exams Club of T&P Cell organized a Seminar on UPSC Preparation

          The Competitive Exams Club under Training and Placement Cell of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar organized a talk in the seminar hall of T&P Cell to make the students aware about Civil Services Exams conducted by UPSC and its preparations. GJUST Alumni and M.Tech. Electrical Engineering from NIT Hamirpur and CSE Coach in TheIASHub Shikha Vatsa was the keynote speaker of the programme.

          Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi, Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the Competitive Exams Club for providing guidance to students for improvement of their knowledge regarding various competitive exams.

          Prof. Avnesh Verma, Registrar of the university also appealed to students to ensure maximum participation in these kinds of programmes.

          While addressing the students, keynote speaker Shikha Vatsa shared her own journey from determination to give CSE exam to preliminary round, main round and interview phase. She underlined that preparation for CSE exams needs strong determination, deep study and systematic hard work. She also discussed some of the myths and fears about UPSC exams. She discussed the benefits of taking subjects like Geography etc. in optional, which helps in preparation of other papers such as General Studies, Essay, etc. Students asked many doubts regarding preparation strategy and many more.

          The Admin head from TheIAS HUb Sandeep also talked to the UPSC aspiring students. One student having secured second rank in UPPSC-2022 Fanish Kumar also guided the students in online mode.

          The programme started with welcome address by Partap Singh, Director Placement and ended with vote of thanks presented by Dr. Aditya Vir Singh, Assistant Director. The whole event was coordinated by Jatin, Coordinator and Khushi, Joint Coordinator of Competitive Exams Club along with Happy, Jatin, Mukul, and Deepak. Around 80 students were present in the seminar.
