E- Campus Placement ISGEC


The top Indian heavy engineering company, ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd, Yamuna Nagar, for the first time, conducted Campus Placement Drive in collaboration with the Training & Placement Cell of  Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, and selected student Mr. Shahid of B.Tech ME 2024 passing out batch on CTC of 5 LPA approx. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi congratulated the selected student, his parents, and faculty members for this success and hoped that the association of NAAC A+ Accredited University like GJUS&T with ISGEC will go long for effective mutual collaboration. Registrar Prof. Vinod Chokkar thanked the senior management of ISGEC for their campus visit.


Dr. Pratap Singh Malik, Director (Placement) shared that ISGEC was established in 1933 and has a diverse portfolio in the design, engineering, manufacturing, and supply of various products and services. The company has a strong presence in industries such as power, sugar, process equipment, and environmental engineering. He thanked Mr. Dinesh Chauhan, AGM HR, Mr. D.N. Mishra, Training & Development Officer, Mr. Vinayak Behra & Mr. Sikander Singh from ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd. for conducting this drive.  He also thanked ME chairperson Dr. Puneet Katyal, Dr. Munish Gupta, Dr. Pankaj Khatak, and Training & Placement Coordinator Sh. Jagdeep Chauhan for attending the pre-placement talk and motivating the students.

Dr. Aditya Vir Singh, Assistant Director of T&P Cell informed that last year also, one student of B.Tech (ME) was placed in ISGEC through Off-Campus Drive. He further informed that twenty-two students of B.Tech ME, having throughout the first class, participated in this on-campus drive. After a pre-placement talk followed by an aptitude test, a computer-based technical test, a technical interview, and HR interview, one student Shahid was selected, who will join the company in Jan 2024.

Chairperson of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr. Punit Katyal informed that officials from ISGEC also visited the ME department to observe the state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge research being conducted by the students and faculty. The company expressed appreciation for the university's commitment to academic excellence and its focus on practical, industry-relevant skills.

The placement drive was coordinated by Om Pathak from B. Tech ME.
