Two days Soft Skill Training Program “PRAGYAN”
The Vice Chancellor of Guru Jambheshwar Science and Technology University, Hisar, Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi has said that students should move forward with innovation, new skills, and confidence in the Amrit Kaal of the country's independence and bring glory to the nation and society. Only skill development paves the way for employment. This is the reason why maximum emphasis has been given to skill development in the new education policy. Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi was addressing as the chief guest on the occasion of the felicitation ceremony of the two-day soft skill training program 'Pragyan' for the new students organized on 7-8 October by the Udbhavana Club of the Training and Placement Cell of the University on Monday. The function was held in the seminar hall of the Training and Placement Cell and was presided over by the Director, Placements Sh. Pratap Malik. PDUIIC Director Prof. Vishal Gulati and T.I.M.E Education Hisar Director Pankaj Chaudhary were present as special invited guests. Dr. Aditya Vir Singh was the program coordinator. Newcomer students of the university were the participants in the program organized for soft skill development and the final year students of the university trained the participants. Pro. Narsi Ram Bishnoi in his address said that this innovative program will benefit both the participating students and trainers. He told the students that the university is focusing especially on skill development. Many short-term courses like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cloud Computing etc. are being started in the evening session in the university. Students should take advantage of these. They want the students to leave from here with multiple degrees so that they can get better employment as soon as possible. He told that now along with regular degree, students can also do other degrees through distance education.
Director, Placements Sh. Pratap Malik said that more than 750 students of the university received training in this two-day program organized in collaboration with T.I.M.E. Education Hisar. 24 batches were made for this. Around 52 final-year students trained the newly arrived students. These 52 students were among those students who had done the soft skills course organized by T&P Cell in the month of April-May 2023. In these two days, students were given training on subjects like communication skills, group discussion, interviews, public speaking, resume making, LinkedIn etc. through various activities. Special guest Pankaj Chaudhary said that soft skills play an important role in getting good employment. He described this program as very useful for the participants. Final-year Trainer students Ankit, Riya, Naman Singal, Nainika, Simran and first-year batch coordinators Meera, Nikhil, Ameesha, Priyanshil and Garima also shared their experiences about the program. The Trainer students were honored by T&P Cell. Under the leadership of Pragyan program mentor Tejaswi, coordinator Kashish and Joint Coordinator Pratibha, volunteers Nikita, Nimit, Seenu, Anup, Neha, Anukshka, Surya, Ankit, Rohit, Saif, Prajwal, Aditya played a role in the successful organization of the program.
