On- Campus Placement Shree Cement Ltd.
Four students of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar have been selected in the On-Campus Placement Drive of renowned cement company Shree Cement Ltd organized by the Training & Placement Cell of the University. While congratulating the selected students, Vice Chancellor Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi said that univeristy through its state-of-the-art courses as well as infrastructure is committed towards providing a skilled workforce for the corporate. Registrar Prof. Vinod Chhokar also congratulated the selected students and their parents..
During Pre-Placement Talk held in T&P Cell premises, DGM-Technical Services Suresh Poonia told that Shree Cement is an Indian cement manufacturer, founded in Beawar, Rajasthan, in 1979. Now headquartered in Kolkata, it is India's third largest cement producer and second largest cement company by market capitalisation. Shree Cement has moved in the last two decades from having 2 million tonne (mt) production capacity to becoming the country’s third largest cement player, with an installed capacity of 46.9 mt in India and 50.9mt overseas. It also produces and sells power under the name Shree Power (Captive Power Plant) and Shree Mega Power.
Director (Placement) Dr. Partap Singh told that in the said placement drive, 20 students of B.tech Civil Engineering participated. The complete recruitment process of Shree Cement Ltd. consisted of Pre-Placement talk followed by offline Test , Technical Interviews and HR interviews. He thanked DGM-Technical Services Mr. Suresh Poonia & Manager(Technical) Vikas Lamba from Shree Cement Ltd for conducting this drive for GJUS&T students. He also thanked chairperson Prof. Asha Gupta of Civil Engineering department and respective Training Placement Coordinator Dr. Navdeep Mor for guiding and motivating the students.
Dr. Aditya Vir Singh, Assistant Director said that Jitender Lohan, Monu, Ramniwas & Sandeep Kumar from B.Tech (Civil Engineering) have been selected. He also shared that two more students Divya Panghal and Kapil have been put in the waiting list. The placement drive was coordinated by Jitender Lohan of the Civil Engineering Department.
