On- Campus Placement Gujarat Gas Limited

 Six Students placed in state-owned company Gujarat Gas Limited with 8 and 6  LPA

Six students of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar have been selected in the On-Campus Placement Drive of Gujarat state owned company Gujarat Gas Limited organized by the Training & Placement Cell of the University. While congratulating the selected students, Vice Chancellor Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi said that GJUS&T through its state-of-the-art courses as well as infrastructure is committed towards providing a skilled workforce for the both private as well as state-owned companies.He further stated that selection of our students in the reputed organization Gujarat Gas Limited on the CTC of 8 LPA is a proud moment for us. Prof. Vinod Chhokar, Registrar of the University has also congratulated the selected students, their parents and faculty members.

The recruitment process started with pre-placement talk. During Pre-Placement Talk, Mr. Satyen Trivedi, GA head shared that Gujarat Gas Limited is an Indian natural gas distribution company, owned by state-owned Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation. Established in 1980, and headquartered in Ahmedabad, the company is India's largest city gas distribution (CGD) company in terms of sales volume operating in 44 districts in 6 states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab & Madhya Pradesh and 1 Union territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. The Company operates 808 CNG stations and has connected more than 21.15 lakh households, over 15,200 commercial customers and more than 4,390 industrial customers.

Director (Placement) Dr. Partap Singh said that in the said placement drive, 22 students of B.Tech EE, Civil & ME courses and 16 students of MBA courses participated.  The complete recruitment process took place in two phases. The first phase conducted in T&P cell consisted of  Pre-Placement talk followed by Aptitude Test, Technical Interviews and HR interviews, in which 13 students got shortlisted. The second round of final interview was conducted in the company office in Amritsar, in which finally 6 students have been selected.

 He thanked officials Satyen Trivedi GA Head Amritsar ,Raju Kadam -  GA head Sirsa , Subrato Banerjee - Manager HR  & Gautam Sahgal -  Senior Officer CSN  for conducting this drive for GJUS&T students. He also thanked Director(HSB) Prof. Vinod Kumar Bishnoi, chairpersons Prof. Suman Dahiya, Prof. Punit Katyal & Prof. Asha Gupta from participating departments for guiding and motivating the students.

Dr. Aditya Vir Singh, Assistant Director said that Khushi Goyal & Devender Singh from MBA (General) and Ankit From MBA (Marketing) got placed with annual CTC of 8 LPA as Management Executive, whereas Harsh Raj from B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) , Ajay from B.Tech (EE) and Ramniwas from B.Tech Civil Engineering got placed on annual CTC of 6 LPA as Graduate Engineer. The student Sombir of MBA coordinated the drive.
