Seminar organized by Training & Placement Cell on "Career Orientation Seminar" for Final & Pre Final students
The Training & Placement Cell of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology (GJUS&T), Hisar, successfully organized a 3-days Career Orientation program titled "Career Ahead", under which 12 seminars were condcuted in three days for final and pre-final year students of 11 departments. The event, which aimed to broaden students' career horizons, benefited over 1000 students.
While congratulating the cell for organizing these seminars, Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi, Vice Chancellor of GJUS&T, stated that in today's rapidly changing world, understanding the broad spectrum of career opportunities—whether in the corporate sector, government, or academia—equips students to make well-informed decisions. He further said that by gaining insights into these paths, our students are empowered to carve out successful and fulfilling careers in fields that best align with their talents and aspirations. Prof. Vinod Chokkar, Registrar, also praised the initiative, highlighting the immense benefits of career orientation programs.
GJU alumnus and Career Counseling expert, and currently serving as Centre Director, T.I.M.E., Mr. Pankaj Chaudhary led all the sessions. Through customized presentations of all departments, he guided the students about the variety of career opportunities that await them after their degrees, including placements in the private sector, government jobs, preparation for competitive exams, and options for international studies. Based on the audience, he discussed in detail the pattern of exams like Banking (IBPS, RRB, RBI), Insurance (LIC, National Insurance), SSC(CGL), GATE, CAT, UGC-NET, GRE ,GMAT etc. In his address, Mr. Chaudhary highlighted the importance of being proactive and staying informed about the wide range of career paths available. He remarked that the world is full of opportunities, but to truly benefit from them, students need to be equipped with the right knowledge and skills. He said that it's not enough to rely solely on academic qualifications; students must continuously explore the emerging trends and sectors where their potential can flourish.
Director(Placement) Dr. Partap Singh shared that a total of 12 seminars were conducted, catering to students from departments including CSE, HSB,Commerce, EEE, ME, Civil Engineering, Food Technology, Printing Technology, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
Assistant Director Dr. Aditya Vir Singh shared that these seminars were efficiently coordinated by the Training & Placement Coordinator teachers of the respective departments, alongwith departmental student coordinators Pratibha, Kirti Sinha,Vansh Arora, Ananta Dhamija, Ansh Raheja, Sujal Pruthi, Anish, and Shubham, Umang, Khushboo, Keshav Sharma,Gourav, Bharat, Sanyam Minhas, Diksha Sharma, Rahul & Sonu. Their efforts were guided by overall placement coordinators Deepak, Bhumika, and Sanjeev Jangra.
Director (Placement) extended thanks to the Chairpersons of all participating departments for their unwavering support in the success of the event.
