On- Campus International Placement Drive of National Biscuits Industries Ltd
Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUS&T), Hisar, has marked a historic milestone as three students from the Department of Food Technology secured prestigious international placements during an on-campus recruitment drive organized by the University’s Training & Placement Cell.
Congratulating the students, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi expressed great pride in this remarkable achievement. He emphasized that the university's updated curriculum, industry-aligned pedagogy, and world-class infrastructure are instrumental in preparing students for global opportunities. Registrar Dr. Vijay Kumar also lauded the success, appreciating both students and faculty for their dedication and hard work.
As part of the recruitment process, a pre-placement talk, group discussion, and personal interviews were conducted. A total of 20 students from B.Tech., M.Sc., and B.Voc. (Food Technology) programs participated. During Pre-Placement talk Mr. Aiman Hamed, Head HR shared that National Biscuits Industries Ltd. (Nabil) is a household name in Oman with over 40% market share and a deep emotional connect with its consumers. Their biscuits, wafers, and snacks are an essential part of daily life in Oman. After completing this process, three students have been finally selected.
The visiting company delegation, led by Mr. Aiman Hamed (Head HR) and Mr. Santosh Bhakar (Head Manufacturing) – an esteemed alumnus of the GJUS&T Food Technology Department – met the Vice-Chancellor and appreciated the academic quality and training standards of the university. Prof. Bishnoi warmly greeted them and conveyed his best wishes for future collaborations.
Dr. Partap Singh, Director (Placement) expressed heartfelt gratitude to the National Biscuits team and appreciated the constant support from Prof. Aradhita Burman Ray (Chairperson, Dept. of Food Technology), Prof. Alka Sharma (Senior Professor), Dr. Usman Ali, and Dr. Aneeta Khatak (Training & Placement Coordinators).
Dr. Aditya Vir Singh, Assistant Director (Placement), shared that the selected students are Manu and Gourav (B.Tech. Food Technology) and Sumit (B.Voc. Food Technology), who have been offered placements at National Biscuits Industries Ltd., a leading FMCG brand in the Sultanate of Oman, with an impressive package of 4200 OMR per annum, which translates to approximately ₹9.4 LPA in Indian currency.
The entire placement Drive was successfully coordinated by Gourav from B.Tech. FT student.
