Two-Day Mega Job Cum Summer Internship Fair “Career Verse 2025” Concludes Successfully at GJUS&T, Hisar
Hisar, April 19, 2025 – The first-ever two-day Job Cum Summer Internship Fair – “Career Verse 2025”, organized by Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology (GJUS&T), Hisar, concluded successfully on 19th April 2025, witnessing prior-registration of 2300 and participation of more than 1200 students from the university’s teaching departments, affiliated colleges, and institutions across Haryana.
The grand event hosted 75 reputed companies across offline, hybrid, and virtual modes, offering job and internship opportunities in various sectors including IT, Financial Services, FMCG, and Manufacturing. Notable companies included Tech Mahindra, Genpact, LIC, Barbequee Nation, Pukhraj, VVDN Technologies, Teleperformance, Axis Bank, HDB Finance, HiTech Enviro, Repozitory, Awl Metaverse Pvt. Ltd., Star Health, Muthoot Finance, BHARTI AXA Life Insurance Company, DKS Incorporates, and Aadhar Health Institute, with job locations spanning Hisar, Mohali, Noida, Gurgaon, and Delhi.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi congratulated the Training & Placement Cell for organizing this first-ever job fair at the university and appealed to make such events a regular feature, strengthening university-industry relations and student employability. He further said that Career Verse 2025 has set a new benchmark in creating career and internship avenues for students and in promoting robust university-industry linkages, thereby strengthening GJUS&T’s position as a center of excellence in campus recruitment and academic outreach.
Director (Placement) & Convener of Job Fair, Dr. Partap Singh shared that, as per result received till now, 300 students have already been selected, and over 400 students have been shortlisted for final rounds, to be conducted virtually or at company premises. In addition to these, 150 students have been selected for summer internship. Each student was given an opportunity to participate in up to three companies, ensuring broader exposure and chances of selection. The highest CTC offered was ₹4.5 LPA. Student registrations were facilitated in the Main Hall of Ch. Ranbir Singh Auditorium, while interviews were conducted across HSB, PDUCIC, and PDUIIC blocks. Arrangements for breakfast and lunch for HR guests were made in the Crush Hall of the auditorium to ensure their comfort.
On Day-1, Vice Chancellor Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi, felicitated all HR officials in a special ceremony organized to honor their presence. He thanked them for their valuable time and contribution in supporting the university’s efforts to connect students with the industry. On Day-2, Prof. Sandeep Rana, Advisor to the Vice Chancellor, visited all interview venues and interacted with company delegates, and appreciated their efforts in fostering academic-industry partnerships. HRs expressed their wonderful feedback regarding the university’s green and clean campus, state-of-the-art auditorium, labs, classroom infrastructure and quality of students, which they have interviewed. Several companies expressed a strong desire to return for future placement drives, internships, industrial visits, and even collaborative research projects.
Registrar Dr. Vijay Kumar highlighted the university’s outreach initiative wherein Eight teams comprising 28 teachers and student volunteers visited industries located in Manesar, Bawal, Gurgaon, Rewari, Delhi, Sonipat, Bahadurgarh, Rohtak, Mohali, and Hisar to extend personal invitations for Job Fair. These visits played a key role in securing participation from a diverse pool of employers and strengthening institutional ties. He further shared that the event was organized in collaboration with NIIT Foundation, National Career Services (NCS) for SC/ST students, and the Greater Hisar Chamber of Commerce. A two-day Pre-Placement Preparation Workshop was conducted in association with Anudip Foundation, training over 300 students in resume building, interview techniques, and soft skills, guided by industry experts.
Dr. Aditya Vir Singh, Assistant Director (T&P) and Co-Convener of the fair, shared that ten functional committees including HR Coordination, Student Coordination, and Hospitality. He acknowledged the outstanding contribution of over 150 student volunteers, led by Student Program Coordinator Amandeep, Joint Coordinators Poonam, Mohit, Vipin, and Digvijay, and team leaders including Khushvanti, Shruti, Sumit, Kanika, Raghav, Ashish, Umang, Nachiketa, Abhinav, and Ajay. He emphasized that the dedication and enthusiasm of these students were instrumental in the grand success of Career Verse 2025.
