 Successful Conclusion of IBM Skills Build Training Program at GJUS&T


The Udbhavana Club under the Training and Placement Cell of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUS&T), Hisar, in collaboration with IBM CSR Partner Anudip Foundation, successfully conducted one Week IBM Skills Build Technical Training Program from January 27 to February 3, 2025. Additionally, a two-day Professional Skills Workshop was also organized on January 30 and 31, 2025. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation, with more than 400 students benefiting from the training sessions.  Vice Chancellor Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi commended the IBM Skills Build Program, emphasizing its immense value in equipping students for the evolving demands of the corporate world. He mentioned that GJUS&T remains dedicated to providing students with the latest industry-relevant skills, and the collaboration with IBM and Anudip Foundation represents a significant step in that direction. He further noted that such programs offer students practical exposure to cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Web Development, thereby enhancing their competitiveness in the job market.

The closing ceremony of this One-Week program was conducted in Seminar Hall -1 of Ch. Ranbir Sngh Auditorium, in which, students and trainers shared their experiences of training. All the volunteers of the programs were also felicitated in this function. While addressing students in closing ceremony, Dr. Partap Singh Malik, Director (Placement), GJUS&T,  emphasized the importance of continuous upskilling to remain industry-ready. He shared that Anudip Foundation, as an official partner of IBM, has provided free access to over 8,000 certificate courses related to technical, professional, and job-preparedness skills through the IBM Skills Build Program. This collaboration will empower students to bridge the gap between academics and industry requirements, equipping them with globally recognized certifications.

The training program covered four key domains in emerging technologies, along with a professional skills workshop. The Artificial Intelligence batch, led by Mr. Bhawani Shankar, covered fundamental AI concepts, machine learning models, and real-world applications, while another AI batch led by Mr. Mohammad Nisar focused on deep learning, neural networks, and AI deployment techniques. The Cybersecurity batch, also conducted by Mr. Mohammad Nisar, emphasized ethical hacking, network security, and digital forensics. The Web Development Fundamentals batch, led by Mr. Bhupendra Singh Mehra, provided hands-on experience in frontend and backend development, along with responsive web design techniques. Additionally, the Professional Skills Workshop, conducted by Mr. Kapil Sharma, focused on essential career development aspects such as design thinking, professional interview skills, resume building, presentation skills, and career guidance.

The vote of thanks was presented by Assistant director Dr. Aditya Vir Singh. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Anudip Foundation and T&P Cell, GJUS&T was also signed, marking the beginning of a long-term collaboration aimed at enhancing skill development and career-oriented training for students.
Poonam anchored the event. The event was coordinated by Program Coordinators Harsh Yadav and Amisha, assisted by Batch Coordinators Ridhi, Anmol, Amit, Pratyaksh, Digvijay, Poonam, and their teams of volunteers, ensuring the seamless execution of the workshops.
