Five students of GJUS&T selected by Infosys for Prestigious High-Package Roles Through National-Level Online Process

Five students of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar (GJUS&T) have been selected for prestigious high-package roles at Infosys through a national-level online promotion process conducted by the company. Earlier, 101 students from GJUS&T were selected in the Infosys Campus Placement Drive held in February 2025 for the System Engineer (SE) profile with a CTC of ₹3.6 LPA. Subsequently, Infosys provided an opportunity to these students to appear in a technical promotion test for advanced profiles.

The selected students met Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi, Vice-Chancellor of the University, who personally congratulated them on their outstanding achievement. He appreciated their dedication and the University’s efforts in nurturing such talent.  Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi, Vice-Chancellor remarked that this success highlights the strong academic foundation and industry-readiness cultivated at GJUS&T. He also encouraged junior students to draw inspiration from this achievement, prepare rigorously and strive for even higher participation in such reputed recruitment drives.

Dr. Vijay Kumar, Registrar also extended his best wishes to the students and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to enhancing student employability through strong industry engagement and training.

Dr. Pratap Singh, Director Placement informed that Specialist Programmer is a niche role offered to candidates with exceptional programming and problem-solving skills, involving complex algorithmic coding, full-stack development, and system design. On the other hand, the Digital Specialist Engineer role focuses on emerging digital technologies, including cloud computing, AI/ML and data engineering, aligned with the company’s digital transformation projects. He shared that 19 students from the University had cleared the coding test round and five were finally selected based on interview performance. He also acknowledged the contribution of Prof. O.P. Sangwan, Chairperson, Department of CSE for his valuable mentorship throughout the process.

Dr. Aditya Vir Singh, Assistant Director, Training & Placement Cell shared that selected five students are —Mukul of B.Tech. CSE, Hemanshi of B.Tech. CSE AI-ML and Sahil of B.Tech CSE AI-ML for the Specialist Programmer (SP) profile with a CTC of ₹9.5 LPA and Kunal Malik of B.Tech. CSE AI-ML and Abhijeet Kumar of B.Tech IT for the Digital Specialist Engineer (DSE) role with a CTC of ₹6.25 LPA.
